Coat Drive

Northwood has partnered with Community Assistance Program to help those in need of clothing prepare for the coming winter season. You can drop off coat donations at our church. Community Assistance Program also has many other valuable services for our Blaine community that we enthusiastically support including the clothing bank, community toy store, and crisis assistance.

Food Bank

Jesus taught compassion for those who are in need. There are many in our community that struggle with basic provisions such as food and clothing. Twenty years ago, the local food bank came to us in need of a place to store donations and distribute food to our community. This led to Northwood donating a portion of our property and opening our parking lot three times a week for food distribution. Many in our church, including our pastor, volunteer there too. It is a blessing to get to be part of such a helpful, meaningful, and fulfilling cause: Neighbors helping neighbors!

Partnering with CAMA for disaster relief

As a wholistic organization of The Alliance, CAMA’s mission is to see hurting communities reach their full potential. In working to alleviate suffering and poverty, we invest in local solutions guided by local leaders and local churches. We are committed to extending your deep compassion to suffering communities around the world.

In 1972, the Christian and Missionary Alliance established CAMA to meet the overwhelming needs of refugees fleeing Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Today, as a specialized structure of Alliance Missions, our staff respond to the needs of people affected by violence, poverty, and disasters. The gospel is at the heart of our relief and development efforts.
